The Burnett Residence located in historic Avondale just south of downtown Jacksonville, Florida was featured in the August 2012 edition of Jacksonville Magazine. The conversion of the former duplex into a single family residence was designed by Dean Scott, AIA of R. Dean Scott, Architect, Inc. Reconnecting the second floor with the main level and creating a proper entry sequence were challenges resolved in wonderfully pleasing ways. Creation of a modern kitchen from the former galley and dining area will ensure this home's functionality for years. Interior design was by Jacksonville icon Troy Spurlin of Troy Spurlin Interiors. Construction was completed in the spring of 2012.
